School's Out at Chagford
School’s Out is our new extended hours care for children from 3-11. We have a breakfast club, afterschool club and holiday club.
Breakfast club (8.00-9.00am) Open Monday - Friday
Your child can join us at Breakfast Club at anytime within this hour and can accommodate a maximum of 16 children. Children who attend before 8.30am are offered breakfast and a drink. At Breakfast Club children can choose toys and activities to play with and a member of staff takes each child to their class at 8.50am.
Afterschool Club (3.30-6.00pm) Open Monday, Tuesday and Friday only
Staff collect the children from school at 3.30pm and escort them to School’s Out, which is held in the Pre-School room. The children are given a healthy snack and a drink when they arrive, and at approximately 5pm are given a light snack such as beans on toast. We will meet any specific dietary requirement. At each session we offer a wide range of equipment for the children to use. We also have more structured activities like art and craft, cooking, or games and we make a point of playing both inside and outside.
Holiday Club
We also run a holiday club in most of the holidays on specific days and weeks. These are often based on a theme e.g. “spooky holiday club” in October. We provide a wide range of interesting and fun activities for the children and now with our lottery funding, we hope to get different workshops in to work with the children. We provide children with snacks but we do ask that they bring a packed lunch.
